Malaysia Week reflection.

Back from a week of just walking and getting ambushed form every direction by leeches. But 2 hours of that is nothing compared to what I have experienced. I looked like a normal city bot once I got there, but when I left, I felt like the king of the jungle:) The experience was amazing, there is nothing i'd much rather do than being in the jungle. I have had a lot past experiences with the jungle before. And I this must be at least my sixth. And the  friendly people that were with us was were amazing as well. D Jungle People, thats their name. They were just soo friendly, I felt like they were aunts and uncles to me. I guess every one in a way is part of my family.

One thing I have enjoyed about this Malaysia week is the people. The People on my site were very friendly they talked in a way, that you could understand. The People were people you could joke around with and just talk to.  I really feel like the jungle is the place to be when you want to have a good time. I enjoyed meeting new people, eating new food.  I really I see this people again, I enjoyed laughing with them, talking with them and getting eaten by leeches with them.

One last thing I loved about Malaysia week was all the things I found about myself. I loved meditating with Mrs.Lao. And the breathing exercises. I learned the meaning of Ying and Yang. And I understood Karma. I feel so different from before. I feel like everything I do and like has changed. My attitude and my music, my food my friends. I feel so happy and in a way free. And we all found a different person in one a other. After the third day everyone I talked to was all of a sudden so close to me, instead of saying their names, dude, or just hey, we said "Brother and Sister. I felt like  like all the people around us in a way, was our family.

The part I enjoyed the most. Was obviously just breathing the air that was not contaminated by dirty city gasses and chemicals. Swimming in water that is crystal clear instead of contaminated with dirty chemicals and oil. Standing on land where people to kill, steal and lie, everyone trust each other and respects each other. And best, knowing and remembering people that I will always love and support in my life here in Malaysia!  

Final Blog Post~Utopia Unit

Hey mom, I miss you so much! I know how things are right now, and how you are feeling. But trust me, I am happy where am at. Will is with me, and he is fine as well. He gets annoying at times but I can handle him.

Before you start a entire drama, let me explain whats going on. I am in a better place. I have meet an amazing amount of people and they have all been nice, and they have helped me get where I am to this second. I Went through amazing things! I have seen things like cities! and found evidence of our ancestors and something called a Metro. Any cue what that is? Anyways things were just great. I found a new watch and with the help of a new friend ( Henry and I call him Beanpole, his name is to hard to pronounce) He speaks good English and he also speaks French! And he also taught me a bit too! I have learned so many things, and seen so many things. I wish you could be here with me!

(Reason why I wrote this paragraph was because If I were Will I would not to make something painful and long to my mother to make her feel bad that her child is missing, I leaved out where i have been and where am at because one way that I could be caught is by a tripod knowing where I am )


Hi Eloise! I know the whole community is looking for me, and to let you know that Henry, Beanpole and I are good. We have finally reached where we wanted to go. And I think I know where all the other kids who ran away are. They are good as well. I have been thinking about what you told me back then. Remember the knight and the family. I know its a bit obvious but I don't want be one if the knights. I have a family already where I am. I really do miss you, and Next time I see you, you will not imagine everything that happened. Hope everything is good and well.

Beanpole and Will

Beanpole was great help to the uoung boys, Will and Henry. He had great English, and he also spoke French. This helps them in maney ways. He could be the translater for them. In some of the early parts of the book they get in trouble in what they think are fishermen. Beanpole helps them out and explains why they were in trouble. But when it took them a bit of time. This will help their journey, Will now has a translator and a person to get them out of trouble.

But this also brings more mouths to feed and more people to save and help. Beanpole can also be a spy or already capped. And this is a huge threat. And in the book it mentions how he seems a bit older. Around henry's age. Its like Jack being capped and is running away from the tripods with Will and Henry, and now Beanpole. A other thing is, Beanpole has a huge amount of imagination.

This is a bit visible. When Henry and Will get caught by the fishermen. Beanpole peeks down the stairs and see's what was going on. And Beanpoles curiosity can become a Threat to their journey.

Will and me

Will and me have only on thing common. And thats this. Will has a very strong way of view towards freedom and liberty. Will grew up in a village where freedom is not really a word. There is no advanced  technology and there is no advanced civilization. Will wants to run away and join a civilization. This is a sign. He doesn't  have the freedom. Thats the civilization that he lived in.


The civilization I live in is VERY different. advanced everything, technology, Education, Medicine and even military. But even though we live in such great civilization. There is a lot of slavery, racism, discrimination and such. People have to work in young ages. And the ones that want to and cant are usually because of their age, gender and disabilities. This is discrimination, witch leads into in a way, no freedom.

Will and me have nothing in common but our civilizations in very small WAYS. The first thing that we have in common in our civilization witch relates to us. Is the main subject of discrimination. In the biggining he gest bullied by a older kid and they fight over a watch. I have been in a situation like this one(like when I was 6) the fight was about pokemon cards! But the things are kind of the same.

Ancient Egyptian imovie reflection

1.The benefits of working with a classmate. 
Well you can have two minds working at the same time. When you have a partner things get really easy, in the few seconds that we had left for the Imovie. Me and my partner Saleh were as fast as lightning and thunder. We finished everything in just the right moment. We got the script clear and the Imovie done and finished. 


Although it's fun to work with a partner they are challenges too. We couldn't stop talking about random things. We kept this habit of talking and working at the same time. It slowed us done by a lot I have to admit. But at the end it was easy for both of us. We also noticed that when we worked together we came with better ideas(witch is kind of weird seance we are both gestalt and the same profile!) but that doesn't mean we are EXACTLY the same.


We had a bit of trouble with getting the images seance all the really good ones had the websites name all over it, animated, to small and pixilated or the other group had it (and we didn't want to look like the people that stole their image). But as I said before we had many ideas, and got this problem out of the way. Team work is hard at points and other times it makes you feel like saying "What a great decision!" 

2. Challenges / obstacles which you overcame (tried to overcome).

Well as I said at the paragraphs above there was a lot of problems. Most people when they work together they get stuck in a lot of situations. Me and my partner were in that sort of situation. One of the "main" situation was the script. We wanted to make it educational and funny but we couldn't make it the way we wanted it. The script was to squeezed in and we didn't know how to present it in a way that could of been understood. We ended up make a normal presentation with pictures and talking over it.

A other large challenge was that we couldn't find the best place to record. We always had different people come over trying to record and we couldn't record in the place we wanted until the very last day. If you listen to our recording in our video you notice that there is very different sounds in the background like the Ac, there was usually a drummer at the back, other people recording and our echo in the room. this was very frustrating but we managed to overcome it in a second. No really, we had to record in the very last second and export it on youtube.

Our last  problem was that we couldn't really think of a good scrip. We had to rewrite everything like about 3 times. It was very frustrating. We had to think of many of the small details in our script to make it sound good. Like who Pharaoh Ramsses fought against in his war campaign. Who his father was, his wives (Yes I mean wives) his children and all the other things he had in his time back then. 

3. New understandings that you gained about yourself.

I learned a lot of things in this project. I can now find the perfect instrumental for any video or presentation. I just listen to a lot of music like then ones in the 90's and 80'z and even back to the 50's. I listen to old music and then get the good mood to it. When I think  could find the right type of music for whatever we are doing, I always find it. I used the instrumental form the song Ready Or Not by The Fugges. I really thought music was just entertainment. Now I learned its just what I need for our Imovie! 

I also learned that I could recognise the easy detail, When Saleh and me were looking for information, it didn't take me much to find the trustful sites and the information. I could find the small meanings of the sentences and made them into chunks of information. I had little trouble explaining to my partner and he had trouble explaining to me. At the end we ended up good with good information.

I also noticed that i may work better with Logic, not that I cant work with gestalt, its just that I think i would do things different with a logic. I can imagine a different presentation with a combination of gestalt and logic, this way its a combination of the creative side and the knowledge side (In my opinion of course). In this way the way we think could change, the information and facts. I noticed that with my partner and me we would take time with our typing and agreements.

City presentation reflection

1)   What you believe you did well on the project?

I believe that I did well in presenting the small details such as the environmental factors. I also presented the most Important details and why. I explained it carefully and slowly so my classmates seeing my presentation understood it properly. I also had a good amount of graphics and what they represent. At the end I then showed my sources and gave time so the viewers would understand and see where I got my information from.

2)   What you would improve for future presentations/projects?

Obviously time. I started working on the presentation séance the first day. I searched information and graphics and searched them carefully. But even so I was still running out of time. At the end of day one I only had two slides done. I was wasting time in searching for the future information than what I had to do that day. I at the end was filled with info and graphics never used in the presentation.

3)   What did you learn from your preparation (for your presentation) in addition to the presentations of others?

Obviously about cities XD. But besides that I also learned I could put more extra information like stories about the city or the history. A little information wouldn’t hurt at all. I figured this out because when my classmates at my table presented they added extra information and it went good with the extra. I instead went off with what was on the example on the City Connection document thinking that if I used that it would go better than I thought. But I only used a small bit of additional information and when I read it off my screen it seemed quit boring. 

4)  What is your analysis of your performance?

As I said on the question on top. I could use a bit more of additional information because it would show I did want to make my presentation more exiting. I would put stories about what the natives that live in the mountains would say or what the revolution was about and why. I think the more it has the more it has the more it stands out. But I should also have a balance because if it-has to much information it well get boring.
